On February 21, 2024, Front Porch Beads founder Frances Peters presented Story & Song Center for Arts & Culture with a check for $3000. This donation will be used to support children’s literacy right here in Nassau County, FL.

This money was raised during a recent popup Galentine's sale at Story & Song. Story & Song’s mission is to be a gathering place for the community, offering programs that enrich our lives, books that broaden our world, and delicious food that connects us. This donation was used to specifically support fostering a love of reading in children, by providing books to those who might not otherwise have access to them and hosting events to encourage excitement about reading.

After the check presentation, over 40 beaders stuck around and began making jewelry for the next sale, which will take place at an Spring Artisan Market on April 21, 2024 at Nassau County Council on Aging.
