Arts Alive Nassau got a strong vote from the Front Porch Beaders for its mission, which is to provide free or low-cost music and arts instruction for Nassau County children who would otherwise have little or no access to them.
And then—because we were doing so well with our fund-raising at the end of 2019—it was an easy decision to collect an extra $500 for this charity.

We are standing outside the craft room at the Council On Aging because we had decided that our next donation would go to this charity, and so they kindly lent us their craft room to work on it.
It was marvelous having somewhere for beading every Friday during the colder days of January through March, but unfortunately the coronavirus brought our gatherings to a halt in mid-March.
