Front Porch Beads started in 2018 as a small group of women gathering on the front porch of a home in Amelia Park to create beaded jewelry for charity. Their goal was to sell the jewelry and raise $1000 for Micah’s Place, an organization that helps survivors of domestic abuse.
This is now our third donation to Micah’s Place! This wonderful organization offers free and confidential services to survivors of domestic violence in Nassau County, Florida. Services available include an emergency safe shelter, 24/7 hotline, legal aid, individual counseling, safety planning, as well as financial assistance and planning. The Outreach Program is available to survivors who do not need emergency shelter and at any point in their healing journey.
The beaders also assembled gift bags filled with useful little items and a bracelet for staff at Micah's Place to hand out to anyone taking refuge there during the holiday season.
Front Porch Beaders present a check and Christmas gift bags to Lisa Rozier from Micah's Place.
Front Porch Beads will continue supporting Micah’s Place with donations made from the proceeds of our beaded jewelry.
